Elizabetes - a quiet one-way street, created in 1812 and named after the wife of the Emperor Alexander I of the Russian Empire (Elisabethstraße, Елизаветинская улица). This block is unique because it is literally in a circle of boulevards - on the opposite side of the street there are no buildings and from the balcony of the facade you can see Kronvalda Park and the city canal. The Andrejosta marina on the Daugava River is a 5-minute walk away, as are the Old Town and Washington Square within a few minutes walk. The area was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 and the building itself is a National Architectural Monument.
The eclectic masterpiece, the majestic building at No.19, Elizabetes Street, decorated with ornate balconies, was built in 1880 by architect F. Baumanis. Historically, it has been home to diplomats, ambassadors and attachés. Both the building and the apartment were renovated in the early 2000s.
Exquisite design permeates the finest details of the spacious apartment, a 250 sq.m apartment with 3.60 m high ceilings for those who appreciate spaciousness, classics and historical values. Interior decoration, finishing materials and furnishings that stand the test of time for quality and modernity.
- 2 luxurious ceramic tile stoves - one decorating the lounge, the other complementing the dining area and kitchen hearth, furnished in French Provençal style.
- The balcony of 3.6 sq.m, decorated with ornate sculptures, faces the street, while the balcony of 2.5 sq.m faces the courtyard.
- The private gas-based boiler is individually adjustable, allows you to control the heating costs and is the most topical item in the running costs of the house this year.
- The back entrance from the courtyard allows the space to be divided into two smaller apartments or sublet in the future.
- The basement area is occupied by the best and most award-winning fancy restaurant in Latvia "Vincents".
The building is separated from the street by a front garden, a lush green area that discreetly hides the main entrance from passers-by.
Embassies, banks, cultural and art centres, international educational institutions are located in the immediate vicinity.
