Apartments are available for purchase in a luxurious, renovated building at 36 Lāčplēša Street. The building was constructed in 1900 as a rental house designed by architect Karl Johan Felsko. It was sculpted by Augusts Folcs. The house could be described as late, pompous eclecticism in neo-Renaissance forms. Its decoration makes much use of ornamental elements, herms, masks and floral motifs.
The front house offers 10 large apartments of just over 200 m2, while the courtyard house offers 24 smaller apartments of between 45 and 90 m2. All apartments are divided into separate apartment properties and the land is owned.
The house is currently undergoing extensive renovation works. The roof is being renovated, the facade is being completely restored, preserving the historical elements, and the entrance door to the building is being replaced, as well as the door to each apartment. The outdated hot and cold water and sewerage systems are being renovated and the radiators are being fitted with individual meters to monitor heat consumption. A lift is being installed in the front house to make it easier for residents to move around, but both houses are getting a new intercom. All apartments are connected to TET and BALTCOM internet. The house has a courtyard for residents to enjoy the outdoors, which is also being cleaned up and given a new look during the renovation process. The new owners will be able to design the indoor finishes and interior according to their own wishes and needs.
The house has an excellent location - in the very centre of the city, where all the necessary daily infrastructure is within a maximum of 15 minutes. Esplanade and Vērmanes Garden are just a short walk away, and the rest of Riga's parks are a little further. There are many cafés, restaurants and cultural venues in the area. All of Riga's prestigious educational institutions are also within easy reach. Grocery shops and medical centres are almost on the doorstep.
