A building like champagne aged over centuries – the renovated Kalpaka Residence project enriches the market

A historical architectural masterpiece in the heart of Riga – in the Silent Centre embraced by Art Nouveau silhouettes. The six-story building "Kalpaka Residence," which has borne witness to the capital's history for over 150 years, presents an opportunity to acquire nine elegant, modern-classic apartments ranging from 44 to 107 square metres. Both the building and the apartments have been meticulously restored to their historical grandeur, preserving the cozy tile stoves, original structural elements, and premium finishes.

The main building constructed in the eclectic tradition during the 1870s was designed by Jānis Frīdrihs Baumanis, the leading master of Riga Boulevards circle. The architect's signature is evident on the façades, showcasing a combination of various elements, including discernible Neorenaissance, Neobaroque, and even Gothic outlines. The main entrance vestibule preserves and restores the original 19th-century floor tiling and the wall paintings created in the eclectic style. In the stairwell, the iron-cast railings, some of which have been recreated based on the partially preserved originals, now breathe new life. The other side of the building, the new wing, was erected in 2004 and is situated at Nikolaja Rēriha Street. The building at 7 Kalpaka Boulevard is a national architectural monument, included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage as a noteworthy artifact of Riga's historical centre.

The renovated project will allow residents of the building to enjoy the luxury of the 19th and 20th century transition in modern tones. "Kalpaka Residence" offers various residences with one to three rooms - from interiors designed in an austere modern minimalism style in neutral tones to lavish homes with opulent, gold-accented touches and elaborate ceiling decorations. Spacious and bright rooms in all residences create a cozy and sunny atmosphere, with ample daylight streaming through large windows. The layout of the space is carefully considered to ensure complete everyday comfort. There is also an equipped private gym in the building for additional convenience of the residents. Furthermore, the apartments are fully equipped with all the essential urban utility services, while the building provides 24-hour security and a concierge for residents' security. CCTV surveillance systems are also in place.

The building has two entrances – one from Kalpaka Boulevard and the other from Nikolaja Rēriha Street. Both sides offer delightful views: on the Kalpaka Boulevard facade, residents are greeted by the green oasis of Kronvalda Park, while the windows facing Nikolaja Rēriha Street reveal the Silent Centre's buildings and the tranquillity of the side streets. "Kalpaka Residence" stands out with one of the best locations in Riga, boasting excellent infrastructure. Just a few minutes' walk away are prestigious office buildings, embassies, business centres, shops, a rich array of cafes and restaurants, as well as the city's finest educational institutions. Getting to almost any part of Riga is convenient, as there are several public transport stops nearby. The surrounding area features various points of interest and tourist routes, along with ample leisure and entertainment opportunities.

The Silent Centre, with its scattered Art Nouveau architecture-lined streets often referred to as Riga's hallmark, is one of the most favoured neighbourhoods among tourists in the capital city. Seize the opportunity to reside in a place that will only grow more charming and valuable with time – much like champagne aging in a cellar, awaiting its new owner.
