This January, buyers of homes were more active in Jurmala as compared to both the end and beginning of the last year. In January, 65 housing transactions were recorded, out of which apartments accounted for 51, in Jurmala. In the first month of the current year, transactions were concluded in smaller numbers than fixed in some months of second half-year 2012, though the rates are remarkably higher than those of the very beginning of last year.
This January, foreign demand in properties in Jurmala was higher than in December. Non-residents prefer brand-new apartments at a maximum price of EUR 200,000. Such a price corresponds to the level of investments required to qualify for temporary residence permit.
