Renovated house at 63 Dzirnavu Street is opening its doors
From 12 am to 7 pm on Thursday, 6 December, the real estate company Latio invites you to tour the renovated house at 63 Dzirnavu Street, Riga, as part of the Open House campaign.
The house at 63 Dzirnavu Street, built in 1912 according to the design by the architect Nikolajs Hercbergs, is one of the most beautiful Perpendicular Art Nouveau buildings in the centre of Riga and also plays an important role in the restoration of Latvia’s independence: on 22 March 1990, political scientist in exile Egils Levits, lawyer Romāns Apsītis and scientists Vilnis Eglājs and Rolands Rikards gathered together there to discuss the text of the Declaration of Independence of Latvia.
Today, the ground floor of the five-storey building comprises commercial premises, while on the upper floors 20 apartments measuring from 47 to 67 sq m are available for purchase.
The apartments are offered for sale with full wall and ceiling finishes, new wooden windows that guarantee a high level of sound insulation and protection against noise, oak solid wood flooring or parquet floors and high quality tiles. Bathrooms feature PAA design bathtubs/showers and Laufen/Hansgrohe plumbing.
The interior of the apartments has been designed in cooperation with designer Mārcis Šakausks: the apartments come with functional built-in furniture, offering fully-equipped kitchens with high-quality household appliances as well as furnished bedrooms and built-in closets in the corridor. The apartments convey a special charm thanks to renovated cast iron radiators, which provide “smart home” automation in each apartment according to modern requirements. The interior is designed in a manner to respect the historic value of the building, while giving the possibility to enjoy the modern amenities and design, so the heating and water meters can be read remotely.
Each apartment is equipped with a video intercom for the convenience of the residents, and storage space in the basement can be purchased at an additional charge. There is also a bicycle rack in the courtyard of the house.
During the renovation of the building, its facade was restored, the structures of the house were reinforced, the utility networks were fully replaced, the roofing and water drainage system were changed, the staircase was completely renewed and a lift was built.
The renovation of the building will be completed in spring 2019.
During the Open House event, the specialists of the real estate company Latio will provide the attendees with the information about the apartments in the building and their layout and give comprehensive details of the new development, the quality of construction, the materials used and the operational advantages of the property.
